Ben Williams is an American jazz bassist. He was raised in the District of Columbia, and began playing bass at age 10. He graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts, and received a Master of Music in Jazz Studies at the Juilliard School.
In 2013, Ben won a Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album as a member of Pat Metheny's Unit Band.
Ben has joined forces with award-winning singer/songwriter Syndee Winters for a duo project called Butterfly Black.
